This is a very thorough site has a tremendous amount of information not only on the wildlife that abounds in Texas, but also on hunting, fishing and recreation in general. 

%The six mile stretch of river that extends from the North River Bridge east to Beason's Park has been designated an inland Texas Paddling Trail by TPWD.

Follow the lush 600 mile Colorado River Trail from San Saba, just north of Austin, down past Bastrop, through Columbus and all the way to Matagorda Bay, Gulf of Mexico.  You will discover a wonderful selection of resorts, outposts, antique shops, golf courses and more.
