Amber Moore, Executive Director
Amber R. Moore graduated from Texas A&M University-Corpus Christi in May of 2008. She received her B.A. in Communication Studies with a minor in English/Journalism. In 2014 she was nominated by her college mentor for the TAMUCC SAMC Distinguished Alumni Award from the Department of Communication. She won the award in May 2014. She has cumulatively worked in the nonprofit field for about 5 years. Over the last three years she has been with United Way. During that time her jobs primarily consisted of marketing, communications, volunteer coordination, event planning, community impact, resource development along with other minor duties. She has been involved with several Chamber of COMMERCE’S during her professional career, during that time she was a Chamber Ambassador and participated in the West Chambers County Chamber of Commerce Leadership Development Initiative.
Amber is married to John Moore Jr. of Schulenburg. They are parents to 3 fur children: 2 dogs, Remington & Rufus and a cat, Oliver. Amber is an avid sports fan can often be seen at Houston Texans or Houston Astros games. Her & her husband also enjoy cooking, concerts and movies together. Amber is actively involved with both American Cancer Society and Alzheimer’s Association fundraising events, as both causes are very close to her. Amber enjoys anything Star Wars, Harry Potter or Marvel Comic related . Amber enjoys spending time with her family. In her spare time, when not with her family, she can most often be found with camera or book in her hand as reading and photography are two of her favorite pastimes.
